I found this post abandoned in my drafts folder from sometime in the Fall of 2013 when we were potty training big sister. I polished it up a little with some addition and subtraction to get it to what you see now. Enjoy!

So, big girl panties are a really big deal at my house right now. We have 2T, 3T and 4T. Solid white, pink and plenty of patterns with everything from posies to princesses. We have padded training panties, and we have REAL honest to goodness just-like-mommy-and-daddy-wears BIG girl panties. Yes, even daddy wears big girl panties. She doesn't need to know the term for boxers or briefs just yet. Big girl panties will do. We have bikini panties, and we have granny panties. So many panties for one little girl. In fact, probably more than her mommy and daddy combined.
And, you know, this really great moment has come and gone of her mastering how to pull up her panties like a big girl. She's a pro, and I ought to take lessons from her as I pull up my big girl panties. You see, big girl panties aren't just for toddlers anymore. They are for mommy's everywhere who are "driving and striving as fast as s[he] can" (cue your Cake and eat it, too)!
Each and every day mommy's go The Distance for the daddy's and the baby's. Being mom is the dirtiest job I've ever had the pleasure of accepting. But why do we have this innate drive to IMPOSE our wills onto other, usually younger, mommy's who really just need a friendly ear to survive? Let me be clear: it's time to stop letting those panties drop to your ankles while you assail other mommys. Pull up the Big Girl Panties, smile and support your sister mothers.
